Rehearsal
OuterSpace can be used for group or solo rehearsals within a myriad of movement forms. We most readily support barefoot movement practices but allow some dance footwear in the space. We do not allow flamenco, tap, or high heeled shoes of any kind. If you have any questions or concerns about the suitability of the space meeting your needs please give us a call to schedule a talk and walk through of the space. Please note the studio has no mirrors.
Production/Photoshoot
Both the Sun and Moon studios are excellent for video and photo production. Each studio has high ceilings and natural lighting and are available for day long shoots.
Public Class/Workshop
OuterSpace is committed to supporting experimentation and exploration in one’s teaching practice. Local and out of town artists can rent OuterSpace to host their ideas and expand their teaching practice and in turn OuterSpace will help market your event and connect you to the interested public. While we are willing to lend a hand we ask that you recognize that these courses/rentals are the creative responsibility of the renter and are independently produced by the party renting the space. If the dates you are looking for are not available please contact us so we can do our best to accommodate your timeline.
Performance/Special Event:
Both the Sun and Moon studios are comfortable settings to host your friend filled event. Renters have access to five folding tables, 20 chairs, additional floor cushions, yoga mats, blankets and kitchen supplies which make the space well suited for informal showings, private events and small scale performances. Please inquire for availability.
