OuterSpace houses two 1,400 square foot studios set in the heart of Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. The Sun Studio is located on the North side of the building running along Milwaukee Ave; the Moon Studio is located on the South side of the building and hugs the Milwaukee avenue alley.
OuterSpace is three blocks from the CTA Blue Line Damen stop and is easily accessible by other strands of public transportation. Street and bike parking is available and the space is surrounded by ample food, beverage, clothing and media retailers.
Each studio has windows with abundant natural light, sprung wood floors, sound systems, a kitchen and private bath. Both studios are permitted for creative use in the form of rehearsals, classes, workshops, special events, meetings and live/work overnight residencies for artists working in dance, somatics, healing arts, visual arts, theater, performance art, culinary arts, film, photography, poetry, spoken word, music, puppetry and more.
